Medium Dog Blanket Coat

My coats offer the perfect fit for everyday wear, combining not only comfort and durability but also thoughtful design.

Each coat is carefully handmade from repurposed wool blankets, which means that every piece has its own unique character and story. Furthermore, I tailor every coat to your dog’s individual measurements, ensuring a comfortable and secure fit. As a result, your dog can move freely while staying warm, protected, and comfortable throughout the day.

For added warmth, you can also choose an optional thermal interlining, which provides extra insulation and wind resistance. Consequently, this additional layer helps keep your dog cosy during chilly walks and throughout the colder months. At the same time, the breathable wool naturally regulates temperature, helping to maintain comfort in a variety of conditions.

I repurpose 100% wool blankets, making each coat both sustainable and naturally water-resistant. To enhance comfort even further, I add a soft black polar fleece lining, which increases warmth and creates a cosy feel in my custom-made Medium Dog Blanket Coat.

Moreover, adjustable Velcro straps allow you to achieve a snug and secure fit. Not only do these straps make the coat quick and easy to put on and remove, but they also help prevent slipping and shifting.

To complete each coat, I add carefully selected finishing details. For example, tassels from the original blanket edges create a unique design feature, while toning bias binding neatly lines the edges and eliminates any rough finishes. Together, these details give each coat a refined and distinctive appearance.

Whether you’re heading out for a cold-weather walk or relaxing at home, these coats provide warmth and comfort. Additionally, they are available for a wide range of breeds, including both small and large dogs, as well as whippets and greyhounds.

Every coat is handmade by me in Brighton, UK, with close attention to quality and craftsmanship. Whenever possible, I source fabrics from charity shops, including the Brown/Blue and Country Cottage colourways. Meanwhile, I purchase other materials from trusted suppliers to ensure durability and consistency.

Finally, caring for your coat is simple. Hand wash using a wool-safe detergent and allow it to dry flat in a warm place. However, please avoid tumble drying, as this may damage the wool and affect the coat’s shape.
