The Team

 I have been making collars for over 14 years, starting from when I rescued my lovely Tilly, the black lurcher at 14 weeks old. She’s now almost 15 and still modelling for Crystal Wolf. In addition I also have Paisley, a rescue whippet cross. Consequently both can be seen modelling for me, as well as a few of their friends

My background

However, for over 35 years, I have also been involved in fashion design, and the dance industry in particular. As a result of working with custom made dresses and glamourous sparkly fabrics, I was inspired me to try out crystals on collars. Why not?  because I feel even dogs like some glamour in their lives. However on the other hand I wanted my collars and accessories to be as sustainable as possible, so as a result this led to me to trying to incorporate used fabrics in my collection

My aims

So with Crystal Wolf , my aim has always been to  produce top quality, upcycled handmade pet apparel and accessories from dead stock fabrics and unwanted clothes.  As a result each item I offer, is made to order  and to the highest standards and safety levels possible, here in Brighton, UK.

But In the last 2 years I have tried to buy only deadstock fabrics from companies, or car boots/charity shops, for instance. For example I like to use interesting discarded clothes I find, to create limited edition collections. So at the moment this is centred mainly around collars and accessories but I hope soon to expand this approach to my blanket coats, because sustainability is very important to me.

In Conclusion

I hope you find my collection as exciting as I do. I love my job, creating from discarded textiles, and seeing my designs on the beautiful animals they are made for. Handmade with love is often used but totally true
