Blanket Coat – Small Dog

Every coat I make is made to measure, creating a fit tailored specifically to your dog. I work from your dog’s individual measurements to ensure they can move comfortably. To give each coat even more character, I finish it with the original tassels from the blanket edges, preserving a unique feature of the fabric.

For extra comfort, I line each coat with soft fleece, which feels cosy and adds an additional layer of warmth. If your dog needs extra protection from the cold, you can also choose an optional thermal interlining. This added layer increases insulation and helps block chilly winds, making it ideal for colder days.

Practical features on this coat include adjustable Velcro chest and tummy straps. They allow you to achieve a secure fit, while making the coat simple to put on and take off. I also add a soft fleece collar for extra warmth around the neck. You can wear the collar folded down or turned up depending on the weather.

I handmake every coat to order in my Brighton workshop, paying close attention to quality, fit, and finishing details. This design is also available for medium and large breeds, as well as whippets and greyhounds.

Fabric Source

I sourced the Brown/Blue and Country Cottage Mix colourways from charity shops. I purchase all other blanket fabrics from trusted suppliers.

Care Instructions

Hand wash your coat using a wool-safe detergent and leave it to dry naturally in a warm place. Although you can machine wash it on a wool cycle, I recommend hand washing to help maintain the fabric’s appearance and shape. Please do not tumble dry.
